Description
In 2014, Uralvagonzavod provided an improved tank variant to the Russian Ministry of Defense in response to the problems of the T-72B3 main battle tank. This tank variant is powered by a new V-92S2F diesel engine, which increases the output to 1,130 hp. It’s fitted with the 4S23 Relikt explosive reactive armor and the slat armor to resist the attack of light anti-tank missiles more effectively. This variant was formally designated T-72B3M and entered service with the Russian armed forces in 2018. By 2022, the T-72B3M has become the No.1 modernized tank in terms of number in the Russian armed forces, and they have been extensively used in the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.

This latest MENG TS-053 Russian Main Battle Tank T-72B3M w/ KMT-8 Mine Clearing System is a 1/35 model kit released with the help of Gur Khan Books Publishing House. This model is an accurate replica of the real tank. The 4S23 Relikt explosive reactive armor and the slat armor are precisely reproduced. The gun mantlet canvas cover and the unique 4S22 soft case ERA are designed by digital sculpting. This kit includes a realistic and movable torsion bar suspension system and brand-new tooling easy-to-assemble double-pin workable tracks. All crew hatches are openable. Lights, observation windows and optical sights are represented with clear parts. This kit includes the KMT-8 mine clearing system and fine PE parts. This kit provides three paint schemes.
