Description
[About the actual vehicle]
The popular series held in England, which boasts a long history and tradition of touring car racing, is the BTCC, the British Touring Car Championship.
Automakers from all over the world are participating in teams and vehicles as a promotion.
Many Japanese manufacturers are also participating, and Toyota is one of them. Since 1993, we have been developing and participating in the Carina E race specifications.
Carina E was a 4-door sedan sold in Japan, a FF 2WD with an in-line 4-cylinder 2-liter engine placed horizontally on the front under the local name of Corona in Europe.
In the 1993 season, Will Hoy and Julian Bailey will drive from Team Securicor Toyota, a works team run by Tom's GB.
Bailey won the race on the 11th round of the Knockhill Circuit.
[About the model]
-The model is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces Toyota's Carina E who participated in the British Touring Car Race, BTCC in 1993.
――The 1/24 scale is realistically reproduced from the style to the interior.
――The body of the 4-door sedan, which is almost the same as a commercial car, reproduces the tall and large style firmly in every detail.
――I'm looking forward to the power of the competition specifications, such as the suspension that shows an aggressive posture with a much lower suspension.
――In addition, the cockpit reproduces the details of the floor including the roll bar and various equipment in detail.
――The markings are reproduced in addition to the markings at Knockhill in the 11th round where Julian Bailey won the 1993 BTCC, as well as the markings by Will Poi of the same team.
